At The Main Place we know that when you are experiencing mental health challenges, it’s common to disconnect. It’s why our work is focused on helping clients re-connect and move forward. We believe with the right support, people can and do recover from mental illness and go on to lead productive and healthy lives.

Many of our clients need a safe place during the day. We operate two Drop In Centers, one in Newark, Ohio (Licking County) and another in Mount Vernon, Ohio (Knox County). Our centers are safe, secure and nurturing environments where clients have access to peer support, socialization, education and training. The activities of The Main Place are vast and varied. They include daily essentials such as free breakfast and lunch served Monday thru Friday at both sites and living essentials like showers, laundry and available hygiene products.

At our Centers clients can work with our staff to develop the skills and strategies necessary for personal growth and development. Our staff helps clients tap into available resources that help them reconnect and progress on their Recovery journey.
